Parasite by Proxy explores the Crypto Jews of Mashhad. Marginalised in Persia, some migrated to Palestine. Eventually they had a majority status as Jews - the guest became the host. The filmmaker integrates this inherited double identity - victim/benefactor, host/parasite.
