#Arabella (16/04) She perceives that as characters, so different characters what's going on here? funny/surreal The colors of the French flag She imagined a team of people working together, two characters : the first one tries to convince someone to do something. She perceives two texts and three actors, 2 of them are the boss. I is super clear II is hard to read, feels as the introduction of a new character III She asks why are they overlapping?, may be -> HIERARCHIES AND POWER DYNAMICS? The voice of the man feels serious and opaque
#Ine (17/04) She feels an unity and a collision in the IV She recommends Glen Gold, trilogy Up North, radio composition First thing she imagined: a dialogue, monologue taked from a film, from cheap American movies, Wall Street kind of She felt threatened to returned to a period she no longer believes on She feels the entity, she feels the beginning and the end are very much connected: first and last chapter, you imagine a scene. "I'm so happy I'm not in that world" she says II Is this about people who don't listen to each other? but may be very literal III Singing. The text might be about the circumstances of work, quite revolutionary. So may be this one is related to the first one, talking back IV Echoing. He is talking and not seeing anything: about miscommunications V She understands they were talking with him! Then About if I can or cannot work with this, yes absolutely yes, I don't have to worry. What's deep down in the text, what. It is a beautiful text (!) With the voices it feels colorful, the one voice is mono-color
#Rosella (17/04) She says it is a parody of corporate speech. Voice speaking. In II it feels playful, it feels a break, a peculiar effect THE TEXT IS NOT REALLY GOING ANYWHERE, which combines well with the space which seems that doesn't have any kind of sense or reason. What about the intentionality of the languages: WHY? is it a reference of this kind of thinking? #REFERENCES: OULIPO experiment, RAYMOND QUENEAU: exercices in style

# David (07/05) He liked it, he smiled a lot Very sculptural: a conversation about materials He imagined that the "Ok, yes" belonged to a conversation in a photo shooting. He smiled a lot and said "everything is ok". Advertising set a lifestyle and the video echoes that CORRELATION How important is it? What do you want to talk about? De qué te gustaría hablar más? About the voice in the back: he is aware that other conversation is taking place, the rhythm below is subtracted from a source that already exists. THE RHYTM is common with other practices. I share with him my feelings when I find myself questioning the why of the project My practice as a wide range practice with different approaches This video is a conversation about not knowing: the idea of not knowing instead of a practice that need to be justified. Research based practice.
(voz de hombre) #Recommendations: Farocki: "El nacimiento de una imagen", "The advertising info", "Still life", "A day in the life of a consumer", "As you see". Mariana Enríquez (elementos ideológicos?) Hito Steryl: La imagen pobre. (talk about iterations, forma de ensayo)
#SABINE (15/05) - WHAT IS THE OFF-SCREEN REALITY? WHAT ABOUT THIS WORLD THAT WE DONT SEE? - We see this woman is speaking for herself The only real reference we have is "Power rangers" Talking about generations, it seems that she speaks from the outer space - TO PLAY WITH FRAMES OF REFERENCE - Now it kind of feels like obvious and thick, like "hahaha" it is funny and easy to watch and compelling, but what else? - What is the next step in a narrative mood, as it is now feels like fitting more in a installation.

Notes on
Marshall McLuhan argued “the word read means to guess – look it up in the big dictionary. Reading is an activity of rapid guessing because any word has so many meanings – including the word reading – that to select one in a context of other words requires very rapid guessing. That’s why a good reader tends to be a very quick decision-maker.”[1] This is very true of human reading, where multiple interpretations lead to various equivalent understandings of a text, but false when applied to machine reading, which only operates with predefined ways of interpreting text.
