Thesis Outline

Introduction

This thesis will be an essay throughout analysis of navigation agendas in commonly used in current web design practice and experiments of designing and testing alternative navigating suggestions to users(?) and UI/UX designers.

Contents

<1. User autonomy in experiences on web context> 1.1) Difference between Behavior and Action in a digital context 1.2) Critical point of mine about users being passive (+ Efficiency orient agenda is always fine?) 1.3) Is that a sharable matter? (survey and analyse the result)


<2. Main mechanisms of navigation on the web (main movements/behaviours of users)> 1.1) Analysis mechanisms of Scrolling, Clicking, Typing, Hovering, Dragging in existing webpages like Expedia, hotels.com, The New York Times, Google, DuckDuckGo..etc (pros and cons) (these target webpages can be changed. At the moment it’s not super clear.) 1.2)

<3. A suggestion for alternative web navigation to emancipate> 3.1) analysis + test 3.2) still some fallbacks..? <Conclusion>
