My uncle says that if you're not allowed to do something, but you really want it, then you can.
Apparently it was an agreement between him and his siblings.
Another agreement they followed, equally ridiculous, is that whoever is the least hungry quickly washes up after cooking, and those who are hungrier can start eating immediately.
It takes honesty to assess how hungry you are and how much you want something. Could my mother's siblings be so honest as to call these ridiculous rules a protocol? Is it also a protocol, or its opposite?
