XPUB www archive

https://archive.xpub.nl/ is the location of XPUB's web archive.

URL path

The URL path convention in user is:

• Special issue: https://archive.xpub.nl/issue/NN/
  • NN = issue number

File-system path

The path for the archive in XVM is /data/www/xpub.nl/archive.xpub.nl/

Read protection

Archive directories can be password protected, agains public reading.

To allow some to read:

• as root, add password into the passwd file in the server: htpasswd /etc/nginx/xpub/archive-passwd USERNAME
• that way we can create various user / password combinations and give them to people who we want to be able to see the archive.

Backups

/data/www/ and mysql dbs are part of the BORG regular backups.
