current areas of interests/research
- the cut-up in the creation of literature and video art
- remapping time-space (time-based media-->"duration as a dimension and unfold to the viewer over time")
- Stroboscope effect, light as carrier of moving images
- visual simultaneity ( windows in personal computers/ webpages ) <--> auditory simultaneity
- Interval, repeat, loop + Links to art works (objects/people repeating themselves + composition)
- interface between media and body; meat media, moist media.
(im)possible project
potential direction 0.1 "Informatics studies the structure, algorithms, behaviour, and interactions of natural and artificial systems which store, process, access, and communicate information." Why information are shown in certain formats, layouts which considered to be understood as "style". In most of the cases, viewers/spectators won't be exposed at one visual stimuli. The time staying on one video, even a expression on a product page are been record as potential data not to mention our interaction with the system like simply a click on "like". What's the "attention" means in a dazzling world. How people go through the database-watching. My first potential idea is to translate visual simultaneity into audio simultaneity, the dominated vision would unfold to sound over time. It will emphasize the various assembly of information to be seen at one time as various chords to be heard at once. By comparing different layout(for example, online news channels), a composition will be produced
- visual simultaneity (in a frame of reference)
- translate visual simultaneity to audio simultanetiy (synesthesia?)
- a simultaneity is more than one complete musical texture occurring at the same time, rather than in succession
- informatics show in a style called layout
Ref
- visual simultaneity is indicative of how informatics economies reappear in the show as “style”. -- The Interface Effect
- Youtube detects user watching time. [cite]Link to be added[/cite]
- Jung coined the word "synchronicity" to describe "temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events."
