Her works focus on using micro-material creates abstract images and noisy sound. In her dust series work, she considers dust collected from her room as self-portrait, evidence of being, instrument of sound, and elements for images. By putting actual dust into audio-visual devices, she reveals the stories and memories behind dust while gives critical response to the current fetish for high-resolution clear images.
Nan Wang [CN] is a media artist and experimental filmmaker, currently studies and live in Rotterdam. Using both digital and analogue media she creates artworks that focus on the abstraction of video images and sound. Her work focuses on how micro-perceptions and fragmented memories, constructs individual reality.
