Use more vernacular vocabulary, relatable languages. E.g. "Can we speak of diasporic hunger?" could be "I have theory that my people are so obsessed with eating to fill a diasporic void."
Have big lofty concepts like Utopia/Heterotopia. What if you simply say what you mean instead of using these distant academic terms.
Now there are a lot of questions. Single out the most important question and how that relates to the research.
Associations in the edit are satisfying - how one leads to another
"How can autonomous research feed fiction" could be "How can autobiography build fictional worlds?"
too much hiding / not enough revealing
"Persia has more currency among North Europeans" - more currency than what? Where is the context? This is an interesting problematic, this is the crux of the method whereby you are willingly exoticising your Persian roots over the other side.
