Location of this story draws from the symbolism of the cloud (a data hotel) and a mash of data center NorthC and Smartdc (housed in the Van Nelle Factory)
Van Nelle Factory
"Jacobus Johannes van der Leeuw bouwde het bedrijf tussen 1837 en 1881 uit. Hij legde wereldwijde handelscontacten, stichtte eigen plantages in Nederlands-Indië en bouwde de winkel uit tot een fabriek voor het branden van koffie en het verwerken van tabak en thee."

"Rond de eeuwwisseling werden koffie en thee steeds belangrijker. Het ging Van Nelle dan ook voor de wind. Het bedrijf onderscheidde zich door een geheel eigen aanpak, met aansprekende reclamefiguren als Piggelmee." [2] The factory was constructed between 1927-1931.

Majority of the sources about this factory talk about the way in which the building, the factory itself - being on the UNESCO list - is a symbol of modernity. If talked at all about the company's main business (importing coffee, tea, and tobacco, and turning them into consumer products) it is in terms of its advertisement. The image of the building and ads overshadow the factory's produce and its colonial ties.
