Paintshop (working title), the paint factory
Crowd-sourced precarity
A collaborative painting tool that's working in real time, as you paint you also see other people paint onto the canvas. The painting can at any time be claimed by one person who becomes the owner of the piece. Once a piece is claimed, it's up for sale in the gallery in an edition of 1. Once the painting is sold, it's shipped to the buyer printed on canvas and the money is split between the owner and the gallery (minus production+shipping). The price of each painting is calculated through a combination of different aspects, ranging from title, author, complexity, time-investment.
