꧁Project(s) That May or May Not Be Made꧂

🖤 NO.3 🖤

What is it?

This is a mechanical fashion piece/installation with iterative features.

Why make it?

Based on my interest in an essay called "A Cyborg Manifesto" by Donna Haraway. The concept represents a rejection of rigid boundaries, notably those separating "human" from "animal" and "human" from "machine." I would like to explore the possibilities of it, using software and sensors to create an interactive feature.

Workflow

1. Research + mood board

2. Sketches for the outlines (physical object + software)

3. Decide on the materials

4. Make prototypes (physical object + software)

5. Problem-solving

6. Decide on the final outline

7. Create it and combine two mediums together

8.Photograph the final piece

9.Try to collaborate with other artists / find chances to exhibit this beautiful project I've made.

Previous practice

I'm enthusiastic about making avant-garde fashion clothes and accessories and also do styling and art direction. The goal is to integrate physical and digital formats into my projects, making them more diverse.

Relation to a wider context

Questioning and exploring the relationship between the concept of "Cyborg", feminism, queer theory, and more. Use my own unique perspective to create more diverse artistic projects. Collaborate with artists to explore different possibilities.

🖤 NO.2 🖤

This project carries a powerful statement on feminism and queerness, featuring performances by artists alongside fabric-made installations equipped with mini controllers. My motivation for undertaking this project stems from my identity as a queer individual, driving me to explore these themes through my work. I've long been fascinated by the reactions of audiences to intense or controversial art performances and avant-garde films. Through dramatic and experimental visual creations, I aim to provoke thought and stimulate viewers, leaving a lasting impression on them. Furthermore, I am deeply passionate about integrating atmosphere and physical installations into my previous projects.

🖤 NO.1 🖤

This is a tranquil space adorned with installations and an array of crystals, stones, and materials where visitors can linger, meditate, and perhaps contemplate. My aim is to create an environment that fosters intimacy and a sense of safety, allowing individuals to fully immerse themselves, both alone and with others. It's akin to stepping into a spiritual realm populated by diverse creatures, genders, plants, and flowers. The motivation behind this endeavor stems from my belief in the importance of attaining peace of mind and honoring the beauty within every soul on Earth. In today's world, plagued by numerous disasters, pain, and wars, many find themselves in chaotic situations. I would like to provide a sanctuary where individuals can release from these negative states of mind.

This tranquil space features interactive installations that incorporate music, sounds, lights, and more. Each installation is designed to create a ritual-like experience for visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in a journey of exploration. These concepts are reminiscent of Special Issue 23, where I hosted a radio show event aimed at fostering deep meditation and contemplation on the true meaning of protocols. I'm particularly intrigued by the idea of creating a spiritual event and environment that encourages the audience to explore new facets of themselves.

Reflection

1. Is this proposal clear?

2. What can be done to make it clearer?

3. As a group, identify core texts and references that help with the proposal?

(<<Steve has been asked to unpack "Choices made" (here are 2 interpretations):

1) Why is this proposal different from your previous work? Perhaps there was a change of mind along the way. Perhaps you wanted to approach things differently. So, why did you choose to take the proposal in this direction? A change of mind demonstrates that you are thinking critically about your practice. ("choices made" is there to help you unpack your process).

2) You may interpret it as an opportunity to list the procedures you will go through when making the work. Again, these choices are critical (because you chose to do one thing rather than something else:-)

Feedback

⭑No.1

Describes features, atmosphere and more details

What kinds of the space, and describe the experiences for the visitors.

⭑No.2

No.2 is missing of visual elements, what details of installations?

How to actually show and how it will been seen and experience ?

What is the strong statement? (I haven't finished this part)

-Give it a title would be good+

-Why do you care about these reflections?

-What is this, will be? (specific, descriptions )

⭑No.3

How to rejection of rigid boundaries, notably those separating "human" from "animal" and "human" from "machine."?

-visitors can experience the machine and the objects more.

-playing with technology more would be interesting
