Spy cam
Idea
For the focal camera assignment I decided to make a spy camera. After seeing one on the slides of Matthijs I became quite fascinated by the look of them. I actually wanted to make one that could fit in my coat, with the lens sticking out of one of the buttons. This was a bit hard to recreate so together with Matthijs I came up with a suitcase spy cam. There’s a hole in the suitcase which is covered by a piece of gaffer tape. The shutter speed depends on how long you pull off this tape. For the test shots I experimented a bit with the shutter speed but as you can see, everything looks quite the same. I think this is because they were all exposed around 1 second and up, making them a bit overexposed. I plan on shooting another roll of film, maybe inside. I also think it would be more interesting to sit in one fixed spot rather than roaming around. This also fits a more spy-ish scenario.
