I think the idea for V2_ as hub is great, though we should figure out what a 'hub' would mean. Is it
only a 'big advertisement', or do we want it to be some sort of summary exhibion with our works? I personally
think it would be nice for it to be a self-contained presentation as well (so, if people choose not to go
to PZI, they still 'get' our projects). On the PZI part: I believe this proposal is only viable if we get
a proper budget (but if we do get that, its awesome :-) -- Ruben
I think this concept only works with full commitment from (the board of) pzi. I want them to invest in the show as
if this would be an empty/unknown space. That means that things should not be cancelled out before hand
because it is the Pzi-building. For me the show can be a success (or is even depending) on the stairs as an exit
in the last studio. This should be sorted out as soon as possible (technically but also on the government level,
is the pzi-building a monument for example?). I believe in a vibrant combination between exhibiting and
meeting (the outside area).
I see V2 as a hub in a way that it is just a preview of our actually show. You don't want to give the impression
to the people that the show is there while the main part is in pzi. Therefor I propose to use V2 as a
preview/exhibition in the form of screens. The screens are a livestream with our show at Pzi and show our
individual works there. We are with 13 in total, that means we need (at least) 13 screens. The screens can
differ in size and height and also in their physical appearance. This proposal has some implications.
For example where to position the cameras in our main section? Maybe the camera as an object is interfering
with the different works around.... - Benjamin
a little thought for using V2_ as a hub: it could be nice to formulate a bunch of questions from our work
and research, which we then can spread in V2_. This could trigger some thought by the audience, and they
can start thinking about them on their 5 minutes walk to the Piet Zwart. Then, this could also be a start
of the graduation catalogue for example. * manetta

Presentation of research (or for some, possibly, process) -- Ruben

You can't ignore V2 as a possible place to hold the talks. Except when V2 itself is the place where the grad show will be. (B)

Agree with B in that we cant ignore V2_. Personally I think it might be a place that offers more room for interactivity/performance
then something like the New Institute does. Both places would be great, but we shouldn't repeat ourselves. I believe NI would be
nice for research presentation, whereas at V2_ we could offer some teaser for, or distilled version of our works. (Ruben)

Bak, Utrecht?

thoughts: nice but a bit far from the locations of the show -- ?.
I think it could be nice particularly because it is far from PZI:
spreading the word of our projects -- Ruben.

would you like to do an event? what do you want to present? what kind of event should it be?

Presentation is fine, just the form is unsure (e.g. pecha kucha vs half an hour pres., vs panel discussion with groups of us moderated by some expert in the field)

julie

Yes, I'd like to do a presentation of process

lucas

manetta

yes, presentation of research

ruben

Yes, although the format might still be a bit unclear, doing several evenings, based on theme/topic. As these events should complement our 'main' show, I would prefer a presentation of research: what have I looked into, what are findings.

solange

Yes, an event beside an exhibition, could be the graduation-book launch, or artist talks (we=artist)
