Majority of the sources about this factory talk about the way in which the building, the factory itself - being on the UNESCO list - is a symbol of modernity. If talked at all about the company's main business (importing coffee, tea, and tobacco, and turning them into consumer products) it is in terms of its advertisement. Research writing exercise 1
Location of this story draws from the symbolism of the cloud (a data hotel) and a mash of data center NorthC and Smartdc (housed in the Van Nelle Factory)
List of factories and plantations "acquired" in Indonesia by this family [1]
[2] The factory was constructed between 1927-1931.
"The Vannelle Factory, the palace of licht, air and space ... monument of progress ... symbol of modernity" [3]
Majority of the sources about this factory talk about the way in which the building, the factory itself - being on the UNESCO list - is a symbol of modernity. If talked at all about the company's main business (importing coffee, tea, and tobacco, and turning them into consumer products) it is in terms of its advertisement. The image of the building and ads overshadow the factory's produce and its colonial ties.
NorthC
