SupraSignal: An audio piece of the unseen image
Instructions:
- select 5 image files from your hard-drive (small images, max5MB)
- make sure they are all in .bmp format
- to convert (based on png to bmp) : ffmpeg -i yourfile.png yourfile.bmp
- open Audacity and go to File > Import > Raw Data...
- select the first of your images to import
- when the import prompt appears, select U-Law as encoding, No endianness as Byte Order and 2 channels (Stereo) as Channels
- you now have an audio track containing the sound wave of your image file
- feel free to manipulate the sound wave (cut out/shuffle snippets, add effects, etc.)
- export the result as .ogg
- repeat steps with the rest of the 4 images
- at the end you should have 5 different .ogg files adjacent to you image files
