| My thesis will be a timeline of the process what I’m going through these couple of months. I’m analysing the work what I will be making and connected to theory what I have be reading. I’m trying to find my own Narrative Structure and System of Beliefs, in the end I have a conclusion and the work as a result. The thesis will be a Research Dairy, a combination of personal notes and theory.

| | Over the past year I have been experimenting with different narrative structures when producing work; these included THE JOURNEY TO FUJI project, in which I first experiment with storytelling; a poem ZHUANGZI which I used as a place holder, in which I substituted the names of people and objects; the APPLE story, in which I use the HERO’S JOURNEY structure, a fairy-tale structure in which the protagonist overcomes obstacles to achieve an aim; BLUETOOTH also the HERO’S JOURNEY, but told in a more fairy tale manner- in which the APPLE takes a central role; the BOWS AND CLOUDS which uses the Bible as a structuring device. After these experiments I worked on a ‘framing’ narrative structure, also known as ‘recursive narrative’ or ‘box narrative’ or ‘story within a story’. In relation to current technological standards and pop-culture I play with similarities within these stories, to I create my own myths and change symbolic messages. By using these structures you more readily engage the viewer (reader); making a path for the viewer and also confusing them, to create a mystery. |
