Reorderable assemblage (thing) of media objects
The participants has to assign each speaker to the shelf it is assigned to, but as the track always changes the visitor has to rearrange the soundtrack constantly in order for the assemblage to 'make sense' (audio-wise and and place-wise)
9 cubes forming an assemblage of cubes (could be cubic wireless speakers) streaming audio (music, gaming streams, radio, etc) and can be disassembled and reassembled to change the direction of each sound. Perhaps visual and other objects could be presented in the same form, belonging to the grid, or could be brought to sit on other's objects in the exhibition to create another assemblage.
