Its a call for action to using the talent on more constructive us of talent. Whiles getting back he was imprisoned in 1975 without charge for six months. The later left the country to Doha Qatar and lives now in Oxford in England. He is seen as one of the  pioneer of Sudanese modern art. Working as a teacher and had a role as politician he and Ken Garland is very social aware artists and as teacher they both are the the roles and roll models.

The realization that he is not immortal and there is bigger things in life than his own ego. In the story Steve also is the mentor and teacher for his son and a group of interns that are working on the boat. Even that Steve is slight melancholy and hard boss, the always takes care of his intern, providing food and weapons. He goes so fare as going nuts on his ship and single handily fights of a group of pirates after hurting a intern. On my personally level I enjoy the movie on multiple levels, as movie art, comedy and a look on human nature where everyone are in one place, buy everyone talks with different languages so one really gets one another.
