October~~~

I got deeply inspired by a great documentary about Hermeto Pascoal, a Brazilian musician. [1] (youtube)

The documentary follows a straight and simple way of structuring narration, with less explanation and letting the music speak.

Hermeto makes his music with body within nature, surrounded by water, and uses body movements to resonate with the echoes from the earth.

They recorded the album in caves. It reminds me of my experiences exploring rhythm and sounds in the Stalactite caves last Spring.

Beating the Stalactite is just like playing a percussion instrument. The traditional instrument from my ethnic group, also have similar sounds. Every year, there is a folk song fair, “三月三歌节”, in my hometown on March 3rd (the Luna calendar). Here is a record of a local ensemble playing bronze drums in the small town where I was born.[3](freesound)
