🖤 NO.3.2 🖤

What is it?

This is a piece/sculpture/accessory could wear as a part of body extension, made by metal with other materials.

Why make it?

From the interest based in body extension and post humanism aesthetics so I want to create another piece for the cyborg collection. Also adding new medium into my practices.

Workflow

1. Research + mood board

2. Sketches for the outlines

3. Experiment and test the materials

4. Make prototypes

5. Problem-solving

6. Decide on the final outline

8.Photograph the final piece with styling + art direct

9.collaborate with dancer to do a live performance

Relation to a wider context

I'm planning to make a collection of Cyborg, using different materials and eventually it would fit together. These different PMOMMOS will become a whole collection.

Choice made

I would like to trying and learning new technique from different material so the metal would be a good example. Also I'm always seeking new possibilities to integrate these mediums.

🖤 NO.3.1 🖤

What is it?

This is a mechanical fashion piece/installation with iterative features.

Why make it?

Based on my interest in an "A Cyborg Manifesto" by Donna Haraway. The concept represents a rejection of rigid boundaries, notably those separating "human" from "animal" and "human" from "machine." I would like to explore the possibilities of it, using software and sensors to create an interactive feature.

Workflow

1. Research + mood board

2. Sketches for the outlines (physical object + software)

3. Decide on the materials

4. Make prototypes (physical object + software)

5. Problem-solving

6. Decide on the final outline

7. Create it and combine two mediums together

8.Photograph the final piece

9.Try to collaborate with other artists / find chances to exhibit this beautiful project I've made.

The audience will not know if it is human or animal--they will try to work it out -- the sensor will generate different outputs.

Previous practice

I'm enthusiastic about making avant-garde fashion clothes and accessories and also do styling and art direction. The goal is to integrate physical and digital formats into my projects, making them more diverse.

Relation to a wider context

Questioning and exploring the relationships between the concept of "Cyborg", feminism, queer theory, and the how these related to me. For me, it's an expression of personal belief and statement. Collaborate with artists from different field to explore different possibilities.
