Possible research questions?

As part of methods, Lidia asks us to try and formulate some research questions for our PMMNBM (not sure about what the acronym was exactly) and gives these three questions to guide a bit

- what do you want to investigate? - what are you trying to find out? - what tickles your curiosity in the topics you are currently investigating?

For now, not really research questions, more like things i want to research

How far can connections between weaving and technology be identified?

Looking at patterns and pattern recognition is something that i would like to explore. I would like to specifically like to observe more the patterns in networks compared to traditional weaving methods. Can fabric be more of a metaphor for the way in which networks are connected? After reading Sadie Plants essay "The Future Looms: Weaving Women and Cybernetics" this is something that I would like to explore even more.

Can traditional fabric construction methods be considered (and used) as a language?

Looking at traditional weaving methods, and their role historically in communication. Weaving has been such a focal point of identity for women for centuries, and I want to look at that history.

How can sound be used as a method of navigation?

How can sound guide? I want to look at this in relation to sound and rhythm mapping, how this could potentially be used as a ritual and navigational tool to experience and live the city through a different lends.

How do machines experience the city?

Looking at the city through the perspective of the machines that populate it. Imagine observing the world from a traffic light, that being all you know. What does your world look like? What do you notice, and what becomes invisible. Look at the narrow perspective that standing in only one place offers. Compare it to surveillance methods?

After meeting one on one, I can see more of a red thread guiding these questions into a big one to rule them all.
