The displayed objects start to trace back some of the first editionā€™s outcomes, realized in August 2021, as part of the archiving and publishing process. Aiming to bridge the local dimension with the outer world, Habitat is repopulating the rural areas thanks to the artistsā€™ presence, contributions and reflections, and likely making them tangible as stones.

Tap upon the glass and peer into the research projects we are currently working on.

From Monday 29th of November until Saturday 4th of December we put ourselves on display in the window of De Buitenboel as an entry point into our think tank. Navigating between a range of technologies, such as wireless radio waves, virtual realities, sensors, ecological and diffractive forms of publishing, web design frameworks, language games, and an ultra-territorial residency; we invite you to gaze inside the tank and float with us.

Welcome back to the ecosystem of living thoughts.

It is an ongoing publication that uses as a starting point the results from the workshop 'Glossaries of Glossaries' in the last Aquarium. The workshop was a collective and quick reflection about glossaries and their structures. This publication streches the results of the workshop by experimenting with it. It describes words, plays with hierarchies, over explains sources, makes annotations, switches between languages.

Fixed structure and Free content (4th Dec, 15:00-16:15)

Let's have time to express our personal thoughts/regrets/experiences on the web context today! In the workshop, you as a participant will get a few Bootstrap templates of the HTML layouts. What you'll do is putting your own thoughts/contents in the fixed standardised grids. You may share how you experience in the web context today, no matter it's something positive, negative or whatever. With the ironic mechanism (Fixed structure vs Free contents), we will have a frank conversation about contemporary digital culture. A small corner inside the BuitenBoel will host a small collection of (ongoing) editorial projects related to Habitat, an ultra-local residency and collective workshop running in the Apennines (Italy). The displayed objects start to trace back some of the first editionā€™s outcomes, realized in August 2021, as part of the archiving and publishing process.
