a conversation with a roommate(S): about the relationship between a) picking up others' energy, atmosphere and b) the detail-oriented tendency of mine in my art practice. S pointed out the contradiction between these two: a) one is about seeing a bigger picture and b) the other is seeing a specific thing. As I reflect on what S said, I was a bit surprised that a) can be seeing the forest, seeing the bigger picture, having a bird-eye. Which I am not good at. Also, I realized that oftentimes a) is more about the feeling(affect) b) is about physical, material, object-related. Maybe the following drawing is what I want to achieve via my art practice and with a power of cuteness? This drawing is not final but it is worth keeping and fermenting. | |||

why cuteness?
Q. What do you think of this picture?
A. Awwwwwwwwwwww
yeah, that is my point. I'm interested in cuteness BECAUSE IT'S SO POWERFUL.
Of course, I will come up with a more specific/critical standpoint about cuteness.
