reference --> http://earlyphotography.co.uk/

Camera Obscura

uses the natural optical phenomena. The earliest cameras were room-sized with space for one or more people. There was no way of preserving other than tracing them.

Daguerreotype Camera

simple mechanisms that resembles Camera Obscura, although at a way more portable scale. A lot was developed on preservation of the image captured. There was no lens: a photographer moves the lens cap and count the minutes.

Shutter

an invention after exposure time improved significantly (dry plate).

Leaf Shutter in slow-mo resembles the opening/closing of the lens cap.

Focal-plane Shutter: Shutter speed corresponds to the opening size between the two curtains.
