===Update 7: After tutorial with Aram Bartholl===
Looking at Aram Bartholls work and after a tutorial with him. I started to think about my project, and if it should happen in the browser and online. Looking at my goals: communicating that the internet is not what many people think it is, showing them there is more and that these places (darknets) meets the goals of the beginning of the internet more than the current public internet. These goals can also be presented offline, using metaphors.
The quotes I have been collecting, are starting to grow. These quotes say something about the darknet Freenet.

I have started with the first one I collected: There is a far greater need for automobiles than stories. on the freenet I have been searching for automobiles and stories. The results show a typical result for Freenet: most stories are on pornography, secondly they are about sex (fantasy stories of people). the automobiles come up in the terrorist handbook, the manifest of the Unabomber and several flogs.

Project Development

Update 1: Discovering Freenet

Documenting Freesites, websites only available via Freenet. Researching what content and information can be found on Freenet.

Update 2: Making my own Freesite

While documenting I found a freesite who hosted templates for freesites, and a website with a program (jSite) you can upload your HTML freesite with. It is so easy, that it is stange, in my eyes, that most of the Freesites I visited have no template at all and only use the standard

 <h1> <p> </h1> </p>

tags.

Update 3

Anonymity, the user - revealing

A booby trap to implement content in Freenet..

Freenet will be the basis of my project. A program where one can add content, preferred photos of users, to a website on the public web. In Freenet a rss feed website can be build to see the content. But! The content needs to be(come) anonymous. The difference between ownership, censorship, commercialization, privacy and anonymity has to be visible.

Update 4: My Freesite

I've announces the freesite on FMS (freenet message system, forum). The picture is from a free-porn-site, the bookmark-link is from another user's flog, the drawing is from another flog. Also I have included my freemail address on the freesite, hoping to get some reactions. The template used, is one I got from a free-template-site.

These are images of my second Freesite. These are a few texts I stole from FMS (Freenet Message System, one of freenet's forums). This is FMS, displayed in Thunderbird:

This got me to the second step, to look at FMS, and at the texts people post.

Here are images of 4 posts I selected and I highlighted the most meaningful sentence in:
