Oordeelt U vooral zelf.
This event will mark the end of a Dutch crowdfunding project to save the STUBNITZ from its demise. In other words: we're helping the MS STUBNITZ organisation in the prevention of not being able to keep their ship afloat anymore:

■ BRUTAL BLUES (no / parlamentarisk sodomi, psudoku)
On the 1th of September, 2014 the MS STUBNITZ had to be docked for class renewal in the Norderwerft - a very costly affair, which the non-profit association cannot manage to generate on its own.
Are you ready for 100% authentic delta blues from Mississippi? Well, tough luck, cause Brutal Blues is face melting grind from Norway. This duo consists of Steinar (the mastermind behind the mighty mighty Parlamentarisk Sodomi and Psudoku) on guitar/vocals and Anders (from the equally impressive MoHa!, Blodsprut, Noxagt and Ultralyd) on drums/vocals. Some of the best shit since Insect Warfare.

■ CHILD ABUSE (us)
The Stubnitz is an 80 meters long ex- East German fishing vessel, transformed in 1992 into a moving platform for cultural research and exchange; in the Netherlands it moored in Rotterdam and Amsterdam on a regular basis, providing space & opportunities for a lot of cultural events to take place; a diverse range of disciplines including performance, theatre, dance, spoken word, lots of music and parties. An incredible number of artists were able to performed on the STUBNITZ.
Innovative band from NY. This trio's mutant mindfuck of a sound has become much more than their jarring moniker suggests. Child Abuse's technical but playful musical illegalities are the sum of Tim Dahl's massive fuzzed-out bass sounds & growls, Oran Canfield's dense drumming, and Eric Lau's frantic keyboard (!) rifffing. Their new album 'Trouble in paradise' just came out on the well respected Skin Graft Records (Melt Banana, Ruins, Doomsday Student, etc.).

■ DEAD NEANDERTHALS (nl)
We (Margriet Kicks-Ass & Lukas Simonis, one of the Vrooom initiators) have decided to put together a compilation album called “SOS STUBNITZ".
The caveman jazz / noise champs will be back in R'dam to celebrate their newest release 'Prime' on Gaffer records. This time around the two piece battery & saxophone assault will be amping it up with British sax player Colin Webster. Expect to hear longer and shorter blasts that bring grinding avant greats to mind such as John Zorn's Painkiller, Borbetomagus, MoHa, etc.

■ SVARTVIT (nl)
Representatives of the Dutch experimental music scene support the MS STUBNITZ in support of the crowdfunding project, not only financially, but also in spirit.
A one man mission from Den Haag, bridging the gap between violent harsh noise, sound exprimentation and performance art. Fueled by a punkish DIY attitude and inspired by Viennese Aktionism, Russian constructivism, Svartvit can be filed somewhere between Prurient, The Rita and Sword Heaven.

■ GEWOON FUCKING RAGGEN (nl)
The “SOS STUBNITZ" compilation of dutch experimental artists was initiated & produced in less than a week's time. We hope it will generate a lot of money for the Stubnitz crew but it is also meant as a way of giving support to a great ship, it's activities and it's great crew...
Look beyond Rotterdam's pompous facade and you might wonder; where's the true subversion, where's the fucking kids and what are they kicking against? Not that GFR has any new answers, but at least their non-compromising approach and local presence is heavily needed. Fast, short and loud, GFR are letting their powerviolent freakflag fly proud!

This event will mark the end of a Dutch crowdfunding project to save the STUBNITZ from its demise. In other words: we're helping the MS STUBNITZ organisation in the prevention of not being able to keep their ship afloat anymore:

On the 1th of September, 2014 the MS STUBNITZ had to be docked for class renewal in the Norderwerft - a very costly affair, which the non-profit association cannot manage to generate on its own.

We (Margriet Kicks-Ass & Lukas Simonis, one of the Vrooom initiators) have decided to put together a compilation album called “SOS STUBNITZ".

Representatives of the Dutch experimental music scene support the MS STUBNITZ in support of the crowdfunding project, not only financially, but also in spirit.

The “SOS STUBNITZ" compilation of dutch experimental artists was initiated & produced in less than a week's time. We hope it will generate a lot of money for the Stubnitz crew but it is also meant as a way of giving support to a great ship, it's activities and it's great crew...
