Bio
Jasper van Loenen (NL) is an artist-maker based in Rotterdam. His main interest lies in connecting the digital world to the physical, giving abstract systems a tactile presence. For this he uses a variety of materials and techniques, preferably open source.
Abstract
In an age where you can download an open source gun, generate your own currency and the sky is filled with autonomous flying machines, Jasper offers you the opportunity to build your own drone.
The kit, comprising easy to assemble components, lets you turn any object into a drone – from your computer to a protest sign – ready to claim your piece of sky.
Equipment
The setup will probably look like a shop counter, with a large monitor on the wall behind
- Large monitor (preferably wall mounted)
- Something to play video on – might be able to my raspberry pi
- Space for a shop counter (I think in total around 3*3 meters of floor space)
- Basic light from above
