Help me, a small experiment in real life point and click adventures
Departing from the idea of using messageboards, chatrooms or forums to trigger chain reactions we came up with a concept for a real life point and click adventure. We decided on a 4chan board. The responses were quite good and we quickly had an interaction. Unfortunately we neither had a plot nor an efficient workflow so it after half an hour we lost the crowd that we had gathered.
Ideas for improvement:
Write a story/plot guidelines. Add a danger or limitation. A location. Improve the workflow, one person writes, while the other one takes pictures etc
Adding the idea of minigames for suspension. People on 4chan can't collaborate. Here they will need to.
Players suggested to use a charactersheet. This is known from games like Dungeons & Dragons and gives the player a certain set of abilities that determine his or her options. These can be improved.
