'''Sowieso''' is the second album I recorded under the alias Yoshimi! and was released in februari of this year. I play practically each instrument that occurs during the album’s 38 minutes duration. I recorded, mixed and produced the music in the attic of my parents’ house. '''Sowieso''' consists of 11 pop-songs sung in Dutch about conceptual disorder and existential crisis. The album reflects upon finding meaning within a medium. In this case, music itself and the formal basis of audio or more precisely: pop music. The production in itself is contemplation upon the incorporated function of production within a cultural framework.
