2nd. version by Luni :

What are you working on right now?

For now, I'm actually working on a couple of things. Firstly I'm trying to rediscover myself again in the visual art field. At the moment I am working on a video portray about one of my course mates. It's going to be a pretty abstract video essay/college where am not going to literally explain or show what kind of person he is. Instead I will try to visualize the feeling that I got out of the visual, audible and textual elements that I was provided with by the person the portray is going to be about.

And how is that process going?

I keep my subject pretty distant since I am not focusing too much on the personal world of the subject. I'm excited to start collecting and connecting the footage because I have it all in my head, but didn’t really start making it yet. The more I think about it, the less excited I get to make it. I just have to start making it.

How does it relate to other things you've done?

Making this kind of documentary video essays is something that I did before, so it relates to the process and the structure of my previous works. The mood and pace is going to be similar to my previous work.

What do you like the most about that way of working?

It's very open creatively and I enjoy collecting different elements and putting it into one coherent story.

How is it different to other things you have done?

It's different because I didn't actually choose the subject myself, it was selected randomly.

How do you feel about the fact that you couldn't choose? What type of effect does that have on your process?

I like it. For me choosing the topic tend to be difficult, because of too many options. Sometimes the process of creating about something that I didn't choose by myself can turn out to be pretty difficult/boring. This time I feel lucky because I got an interesting subject.

And what are the most significant choices you have made recently?

Moving to Rotterdam for the second time and the choice to pursue Masters degree.

How would you describe yourself as an artist?

Artist. That's a good question. I don’t like calling myself an artist. Yet, perhaps... But in my creative work I’m leaning a lot on the emotions and the feelings that are triggered by certain visual or audible elements. I am a very visual creator and I focus a lot on the visual style, compositions and scenography.

What software do you use most often?

Software that I use the most is Adobe Premiere Pro.

And it's also the program you're going to use for the video portrait?

Yeah, for sure.
