conversation with a roommate(S) about the relationship between a)picking up others' energy, atmosphere and b)the detail-oriented tendency of mine in my art practice. S pointed out the contradiction between these two: a)one is about seeing a bigger picture and b)the other is seeing a specific thing. As I reflect on what S said, I was a bit surprised that a) can be seeing the forest, seeing the bigger picture, having a bird-eye. Which I am not good at. Also, I realized that oftentimes a) is more about the feeling(affect) b) is about physical, material, object-related. Maybe the following drawing is what I want to achieve via my art practice and with a power of cuteness? '''This drawing is not final but it is worth keeping and fermenting.'''

✍︎ research journal ✍︎

I'll try to keep my research journal as much as possible, to remind myself what things I have gone through since I got here. Not only in school but also outside of the school. ʕʘ‿ʘʔ I'll list keywords as a bread crumb to trace back, some drawings and images, or a short paragraph.

conversation with a roommate(S) about the relationship between a)picking up others' energy, atmosphere and b)the detail-oriented tendency of mine in my art practice. This drawing is not final but it is worth keeping and fermenting.
