| *'''16:00 - 18:00''' 'Focus group': On looking at still images with Fabian, Rossella, Paula, Anna-Lena, Dorothy, Lotte, Sal, Paula, Ewan and Ana B
| |
| | |
| *In this group I would like to focus on looking at images, not necessarily in terms of concept or art history, but more a consideration of what is visible and the possible psychological results of this.
| |
| Key texts would be Barthes 'Camera Lucida' and 'Image,Music, Text', Berger's ' Ways of Seeing' and 'About Looking', Sontag's 'On Photography', T.J. Clarke's 'Sight of Death' and Ranciere's 'Future of the Image'.
| |
| The aim is not to provide a rigid academic reasoning for making images, but to focus more on the possibly overlooked, the poetic, the abject, the subtext.....
| |
| It is primarily for students working with still images, if you are interested in taking part please let Leslie know. I would like to keep the group small, maybe around 6 students.
