STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE Geometry manifests in a series of garments. Each garment is formed by the repetition and tessellation of a single shape; larger shapes are enlargements of the original singular shape.  These enclosing volumes have openings for the head, arms, and legs.  The Cube comprises six 30x30-inch squares in black cotton canvas.  The Isosceles Triangle Double Cone consists of twelve isosceles triangles in white silk organza.  The Equilateral Triangle Trilateral Pyramid comprises forty-eight 24-inch triangles in undyed cotton natural bull denim.  The Equilateral Trilateral Pyramid consists of four 48-inch triangles in black cotton canvas.  The Vesica Pisces Sphere comprises five vesica pisces in black cotton fleece and black cotton ribbed-knit trim. The Rhombus-Quilted Rhombus-Faced Rhombus consists of thirty-six 10-inch rhombuses in black synthetic fabric.  In a performance of the volumes, the human body embodies each geometric shape as the shapes choreograph the body’s movement through and displacement of space.

WHAT 3. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE Cartography
7. [[WHAT/HOW/WHY]]

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE Cartography comprised three distinct parts: a wearable object, a performance, and a video under the sub-title, Walk to Watertown.  The wearable object consisted of two connected dresses constructed from a continuous bolt of white, utilitarian drapery fabric.  The performers wore the dresses to walk along the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts from Harvard Square to Watertown.  As the performers walked, the fabric connecting the two dresses dragged on the ground, picking up dirt and debris from the landscape to index the journey.  The video reconstructed the performance by condensing the walk to Watertown around the structure of the natural transition in the visual environment.  The documentation followed the two performers, their environment, and passersby along their plot from the sunny banks of the river to an increasingly monotonous road.  Walk to Watertown concluded with the two performers entering Friendly’s, a restaurant “Where Ice Cream Makes the Meal”.
