SI25 Broadcast 2: Soundmapping Rotterdam
Radio recording
Concept
The second radio show continued the idea of the field recording. This time we wanted to investigate our close physical environments, the city Rotterdam: Many of us just moved here, some lived have lived in the city longer. How do we relate to the city? And how do we relate to it through sound? We also asked fellow students and strangers for their personal experiences, collaging ambient environment sounds with spoken words.
Roles

Prompts
Hi all,
Here’s your #2nd radio group of next Monday coming in. We have two requests, one already shared by Kim in Joseph’s class:
Could you all record and upload a sound clip of 10 seconds or more preferred of your new music instrument? We woud like to use these in one way or the other in the radio show next week. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to use it.
Could you all also write and upload 1-2 sentences on your experience in Rotterdam? This can be anything - from bad weather-talk to great (or not so great) housing. We would like to use these in one way or the other in the radio show next week. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to.
The deadline for this would preferably be Friday end of day so we have some time to prepare everything. The sooner the better though.
Uploading can be done on your own Wiki-page. Both sound clip and sentence(s) can be uploaded on the same page in your Wiki. Please make sure to call it “Radio Delivery [and your name here”], or something along these lines :)
Any questions, please let us know!
Cheers x
