Chinese Medicine
I was raised by my grandparents as a child. They moved to the city to take care of me, but their activities were limited to talking, walking, exercising, and playing mahjong with the neighbors.
They both suffered from chronic illnesses but never received Western medical treatment. What I have seen and heard tells me that many diseases that cannot be treated by Western medicine can be solved by Chinese medicine.
Many people still think that Chinese medicine is a feudal superstition. Western medical experiments are performed on animals and dissected on dead people. Western medicine does not see humans as "living things" (Anatomy).
Chinese medicine treats the human body as nature. People use a combination of things available in nature to heal, usually living. Each family has its own method of healing, which is not taught to others but only to the male members of the family.
When a person is dizzy or sick, we will say that he "撞邪了"（Meeting with the underworld, seeing ghosts, bad luck, paranormal phenomena）, or that the dead ghost came to him for money.
When my grandfather was sick, the family would put water in the bowl and place it on the threshold. One hand held a pair of chopsticks and placed them vertically in the bowl, holding them. The other hand pours water on the chopsticks.
At the same time this person softly reads the names of people who have died in recent years (by investigating those places that grandpa has recently visited and collecting the list of deaths of graves in these places in recent years). When someone's name is read, the chopsticks will suddenly stand still and not fall down. At this time to burn "paper money" to this person, these paper money to the underworld will become money to him.
Bloodletting therapy is also commonly used. Chinese medicine practitioners like to use a combination of plant and animal powders, turtle shells, virgin boy's urine, a layer of yellow skin from the stomach of a chicken, and other things available in nature.
祝由术 is an important branch of traditional Taoism. The original meaning of the word "祝由" is "to pray for the cause", which means to tell the gods or spirits clearly about one's problems and the possible causes, to confess sincerely, and to deal with them in a way that is in accordance with the law, and the problems will be solved.
