What

Slideshow of 30 images projected on wall. Slideshow consists of images of famous politicians, cultural, religious and artistic representatives in different settings, made at different time. All of the images are digitally manipulated, specifically noses of the representatives. On every slide nose behaves differently, has a different length, curvature and direction. Images have political and humorous character. Slideshow is projected in the kitchen space of apartment gallery. Next to the wall there is table and a set of chairs, room itself has a dark setting. You can hear sounds of suspense music playing from the other room.

How

Images from the slideshow have been edited in Photoshop and collated together in a random order, the way you would normally witness them online. All the images are found on the internet by daily browsing through media websites and social networks. Every nose has been altered in a different way, depending on the character and situation. I made some of the noses bigger, some weaker and some of them pixelated. I’ve been collecting and editing those images on a daily basis during a month. Before exhibiting i would publish them online on my facebook page.

Why

Facing an everyday presence of images of politicians on the social media i’ve been challenged to reflect on the character and status of the ridiculous political situation happening globally, where uncovered lies and corruption is taking permanent position. To my make my comment i used a simple metaphor of constantly mutating pinoccio nose.

Steve suggests. Cut the headings and the piece stands up well- like this:
