Put the city colour up on you
What This project consists of divers actions that was executed in Glasgow in relation to white socks, clothes, a method of investigating space and the myth of Glasgow as a dirty city. The socks in the installation and the video became a commentary of feelings of shame towards stains and dirt.
How A set of actions like tree climbing, biking, taking a shortcut home, jumping in to a water pound were performed at different occasions and locations in Glasgow during a week. The video work became a happening where I investigated the attitude of car drivers towards pedestrians.
Why The project springs out from me wanting to put my background in textiles in a performative context but also as a reflection of the new experiences that you get as a new inhabitant in a city.
48 hours of rain might let you see the prophecy
What This installation is a fictive nature phenomenon that consist of six buckets filled with sand and they are connected to a watering system. The viewers are under 48 hours invited to come and try to tell the fortune in the crates that the dripping water creates in the sand.
How Every bucket with sand are connected to one of the sprinkles from the watering system. The dripping water from the sprinkles leaves craters in the sand for the viewers to tell fortune in. After 48 hour the water reserve will dry up and phenomena dries with it.
Why
I believe that humans are not taking enough responsibility in questions of reusing this earths resources. We will soon run out of some of them and some natural phenomenon will then be extinct. The strong believe in technology as our savior forces us to invent, even new nature phenomenon.
A inner portrait of work
What This idea springs out from my interest in muscle memory and will be video portrait of how much of the movements people remember from their old jobs.
How A few people with different types of jobs that they now not work at, will be asked to try to go back in memory and perform the movements and gestures from that job. This will be documented by video and put together as a state of choreography.
Why The selective choice of data that my brain chooses to put in to the remember- or the forget folder interests me. Why is it harder for me to remember names then forget how to play the saxophone? The project will be study in who to make portraits of muscle memory.
