Yesterday I talked to Nan about media objects, signal, noise....while looking at her cutting hairs to put them into her noise collecting experiment. I thought it was somehow a forced noise...it was create on purpose....and then I came up with a strange idea. If we consider ourselves, people as signal, which is true, then we of course come with a certain amount of noise, that is all our imperfections, flaws and bad features in physical body and character. In time, we get more noisy and eventually the signal - noise ratio is such that we die..... So from these thoughts and Nan actions I instantly thought of one thing.....waxing. Humans constantly try to decrease the noise quantity by various methods. Hair on human body, except the the desired head hair, is considered non-attractive, therefore it is noise. Noise is being reduced in cosmetic saloons, where gently removed with waxing stripes. It is exactly what Nan is does with sticky tape, but this time it is a naturally created,desired noise reduction. A conscious human decision. All of those waxing stripes are thrown away and considered grose and repulsive. They come from different subjects, body parts, gender, sex . A collection (to be put in a video) of carefully scanned hair from waxing stripes is going to be a real noise map of human noise, naturally taken apart from the source/ body/signal.

that is a very brief, informal sketch if a probably very grose, but at the same interesting idea. Or perhaps very grose, because we are already subjected to think of it as such.

other possible human noise: all kind of imperfections that we suffer with time....wrinkles, fat, deceases...
