My Hard Drive Died Along with my heart #Help!

The project exist now as a prototype in the form of “My Hard Drive Died” where I transmit 750 stories gathers from twitter true one old drive that is reworked as a speaker. The voice is done with a synthesizers voice as it make it more as a voice that comes from the hard-drive itself, but there is issues with the project, I will explain the issues.

Where it failing

  • It can be experiences as a bit of a gimmick and can distract people from the message.
  • I can not add on more drives, as this does not help the project, it only makes more of the same.
  • Mechanical drives are on their way out so the project is getting more outdated for everyday, (not to big issue as this just addresses the problem with obsolescence in the project)
  • My idea was too use computer voice as the voice, but again.. can be to big distortion.

Where to go with it

  • Publish the tweets in printed from, this makes the audince read it in their own voice and will help people relate to the content better.
  • Make a collection of work that all a different or address the different issues of xxxxxxxxxx that all can/will be published in a book, but that can/will on different formats, paper size or storage mediums.
  • On big issue is the loss of control, so why not collect all of the work in archive boxes and then the audience need themselves figure out how to organize the work..store them all in the box, but the different formats in their box-self?

On work of inspiration can be Marshall McLuhan was here. He left a message for you. Mcluhanleftamessage.jpg
