Communities, Patterns and Web Sharing

The installation came out of a discussion about authorship, sharing of (creative) work and communities’ protocol. It illustrates how sharing among the same group of individuals may create perceivable patterns and how isolated lines of interaction seem impossible to overview.

Within personal interaction, the ultimate sharing seems to happen in communities where hard rules, limited membership and permanent inter-surveillance take place. What does actually happen when sharing gets associated with free culture, free communication channels and random connection among the most diverse individuals, institutions and purposes?
