    1. Chapter 1: Where Web 2.0 went wrong
  • example of Vimeo lawsuit against popular lip-dubbing videos, arguably not destructive at all for the Rights holder.
  • Moral Economy
  • side note Web 2.0 is not an update, it's a term used by € driven people online: the cultural logic for e-buisness — a suet of corporate practices that seek to capture and exploit participative culture
    • phrases such as: "Putting the We in Web"
    • "Taking the You out of YouTube"
  • Towards a new moral ecology: example of YT action that automatically deleted audio if their system thought that there was copyright infringement, an automatic action that left many yters betrayed thus damaging the moral ecology between yt users & YT itself.
  • file sharing vs piracy: constitute competing moral systems, one put forth by a community attempting to legitimize, the other by an industry displaying mal practice
  • Participatory Cultures: Do-it-Yourself media landscapes, fan communities - heterogeneous -> moral certainty and power through broader communication tools available today, enducing more power to the users.
  • Stolen content or exploited labor ?

p. 54-55-56 detail both sides of the argument emphasis on 'free labor' distribution methods that are inimaginable if they had to be payed for. All too often, web 2.0 companies have not really opened up their governance to the communities they claim to enable and serve.
