| A collection of screenshots of girls from the dating-app Tinder. The screenshots are arranged by me into different categories like ‘girls facing a mountain scenery’ and ‘girls riding a horse’. The first collection is turned into a landscape of girls facing a mountain scenery; this is a reference to the work of Casar David Friedrich. The second collection is turned into a walking horse. This as a reference to the works of Muybridge. More categories will be processed.

| Tinder is a way to expose yourself to a market of bachelors who are all looking for a partner. Apps like Tinder are gaining popularity and are widely used and accepted among us. The question is how to present yourself on platforms like Tinder and how to stand out of the majority. Tinder gives an insight in how people present themselves, in what they are interested in and how they would like others to see them in order to attract another. Because of that certain trends

| Trends arise when similar pictures appear. When a certain trend is noticed it becomes a category. Whenever I see a picture on Tinder appearing which I can connect to a category I screenshot it. Each category wis potentially an art piece. In the case of ‘girls facing a mountain scenery’ the mountains in the background are stiched together to form a large and newly created mountain scenery. In the case of ‘girls riding a horse’ the horses in the pictures are first scaled and then animated to form a GIF. When played, it looks as if the horse is walking.
