Statement
Film"The Man Wasn't There" unfolds from an oral experience of my friend: a girl tried to find strangers to chat on a dating app during her breakup, in order to relieve her loneliness and emptiness. She stumbled upon a stranger with a strange nickname “转角遇到猴” （Encountering a Monkey at the corner), who locked himself out of the flat, and was forced to waste the time in a nearby park. They all tried to enter this virtual space to escape the emotional predicament of the moment.
