Test shots to:

  • examine how different camera bodies impact the footage we take
  • examine physical experience of shooting with different bodies
  • examine camera stability with different cameras/equipment
Procedure:

A path was choreographed for the actor to follow. All the footage uses a Samsung phone to record, physically attached to the camera bodies listed below. This allows the only variable in the process of filming to be the physical body/equipment in affecting the shot, rather than the stabilizing/qualitative aspects that form part of each body's recording mechanism.

The top left footage is shot with a handheld Samsung phone
The top right footage is shot with a Lasercut Rollieflex body
The bottom footage is shot with a Sony HVR Z7E on a figrig
Note: footage shot with a Canon 5D Mark II on a figrig is curropted and unviewable
