Case in The Netherlands where a group of men replicated Queen Beatrix stamp from the 80s. Nowadays stamps in The Netherlands have a number (1 or 2) which represent a value. Before stamps depicted the amount of value the represented. So if a stamp had the number 44 on it, it meant it represented the value of 44 euro cents (face value). When stamps came with a 1 or 2 face value it solved the problem of redesigning or adjusting the stamp when the value of it changed. The government decided that stamps with the actual represented face value will still be an accepted alternative for the 1 and 2 stamps.
