Logline:

A man remembers a repressed memory that he desperately tries to evade, getting more and more distant in each instance of remembering, only to face it at the very end.

A passage to remembering of a repressed memory that is desperately tried to be evaded, and as we get more and more distant in each instance of remembering, only to reach at last the instant of remembrance.

Remembrance of a repressed memory that changes form every time it is imagined inside the head of our main character, only to reach at the instant where it is remembered.

1st Synopsis

A glass bell breaks, it is not clear who did it, the cat or the man. Later we cut to another instant of the remembrance of the memory, where the characters and the memory that is projected on the screen have changed. We see the waiter ringing a bell, the man watching the fake memory on the screen. Next we see the bartender from the previous scene walking down to a movie theater, to reach our main character watching the last time he remembered his initial memory. He is forced, by the ringing of the bell, to face his repressed memory but he runs away from it. Next we see him in Cinema 2, watching the last time he remembered and tried to evade the memory. As he watches, a cameraman enters the movie theater, and starts shooting him, watching.

[Steve's Question: how to evoke a memory without saying "memory"? Maybe just describe the elements: glass bowel, man, cat, a bell rings &c.]

2nd Synopsis (revised):

A glass bell breaks; it is not clear who did it, the cat or the man. In a bar, the bartender rings a bell; the man is watching a false recollection on the screen. The bartender is walking down to a movie theater; to reach our main character watching himself, sitting in the bar. As the bartender rings the bell, the image on the screen changes to the initial memory, not wanting to face it, he runs away from it. The man is in Cinema 2, watching the last time he remembered and tried to evade the memory. As he watches, a cameraman enters the movie theater, and starts shooting him, watching.

1st Person LOG: Remembrance of a repressed memory that changes form every time I think about it, only to reach at the instant where I remember it. SYN: I see a glass bell break; it is not clear who did it, the cat or me. In a bar, the bartender rings a bell; I see me watching a false recollection on the screen. I see the bartender walks down to a movie theater; to reach me watching myself, sitting in the bar. As the bartender rings the bell, the image on the screen changes to the initial memory, not wanting to face it, I run away from it. I’m in Cinema 2, watching the last time I remembered and tried to evade the memory. As I watch, a cameraman enters the movie theater, and starts shooting me, watching.

HARDSELL: LOG: A mind-blowing piece of work from the promising director, extending the medium of the conventional cinema, where the line between memory and reality, past and present, here and there gets more and more vague. SYN: A mysterious man breaks a beautiful bell made out of glass, and blames the cat for it, not knowing this instant that he lied will haunt him for the rest of his life. The ringing of a bell in a bar makes him remember that instant, not in the proper way it happened, but how he wants to remember it. As we get deeper into the sick mind of this shady figure, we see him remembering the same memory over and over, each time he tries to change it, in vain, until the very moment of remembrance where the audience faces the man who is amongst them, watching, and remembering!

POETRY LOG: He broke a glass bell, struggling to forget That he blamed the cat, innocent, yet silent.

Hélas! His life is hell, as each time he remembers He tries to evade, and to replace, what is real With what is fake.

No man can escape from his destiny, Be it in a day, a week, a month, Perhaps years to come, but finally, You reach today, where you’ll remember The reality.

SYN: A repressed memory is what I see On the screen, quite absurdly Of a man, a cat, and a bell, And the deceit amongst thee.

In a bar, when a drink is ready The waiter rings the bell. The man is watching his memory, But it seems he can’t remember well.

The waiter, walking into a theater, Encounters our main character. He rings a bell to wake him up, The man runs, rejects to suffer.

Now we are here and now, The audience watching with awe, As a camera enters the room, To reveal the man, watching it all.
