Two songs from The Chapin Sisters´ álbum “Lake bottom LP” are not enough to feel what these sisters believe love is; but at least can insinuate a future felt understanding. Love is so difficult to explain and music and songs do it so well. Heartbreak relates to despair, to darkness and light, to life and death. “Cant we please” and “I hate the moon” are landscapes and silence through words. Incapable to be detached from surroundings and others, they are lonely sand sad.

These songs don´t intend to make anybody feel better, to the contrary, they stub you harder in. They underline sadness and loneliness. They seem so personal but are so collective. Feelings are vastly and annoyingly democratic.

Feel sad and lonely.
