Mitchell's synopsis
Synopsis Peter Wächtler’s short story titled II, from a collection of short stories called, Come On.
One paragraph synopsis.
A man in his late 40’s (let’s name him Peter) sits down at home with a glass of cranberry juice to watch a local television program after a night out drinking and dancing with 20 of his very best friends. The program features a native american man discussing with a reporter his homemade, all natural cosmetic products. His name appeared on screen as “Frank Blue Wolf: Chief.” While describing his nettle shampoo Blue Wolf said: “The sun does not harm the nettle and the nettle does not harm the sun, but both sting.” Peter had to put his glass down because he was all of a sudden overcome by a rush of emotion and a flood of tears. His whole body cried, giving way to too much snot and loud painful hicups that jolted the room. Minutes ago he was on a 40-plus dance floor trying to get laid, now he was on his knees in front of the TV, praying with everything he had left, to Blue Wolf, the Chief.
2-3 sentences
I was dribbling snot and tears on a shirt I was wearing on some 40-plus dance floor just minutes ago, trying to approach other dancers with the same obviously sexually motivated, spastic moves I have been applying uncorrected since 1991. Now I am on my knees in front of the TV sobbing uncontrollably, praying with everything I have left, to Blue Wolf, the Chief.
1 Sentence
When he asked the Chief how he felt, Frank Blue Wolf had looked him in the eyes and said: “I lost everything,”
