I want to talk about how I make images, to locate the moment when images gain meaning; this happens after the moment of shooting; they become something at the moment of editing.
For example: sometimes something triggers your attention, abstract features within an image; this is often linked to the poor image (hito: 'the poor image tends toward abstraction' [cite])
This may relate to my painting background, regardless of the medium I treat images the same.
1) the poor image
2) filming
3) show = making or assembling one 'chapter', not really working specifically for a show but presenting a work as an interruption in a continuous process
4) past (a couple of references= from artist statement [m reads]
