I feel like time is there because we measure it and unmeasured time is nothing in a sense. When time is not observed it kinda doesn't exist? I think this is what Fred is doing!!
I also think that time attains a sort of value to something and sometimes the added value of a Thing is how we can measure time.
I am really interested in how time and rhythm go together and can create each other? Could we count to 60 and call it a clock? Is it time keeping if the time kept is short?
Is a rosary a clock? counting till you reach a point is that not a timer? maybe a timer can be converted into real-time if it runs forever just like the GPS clock?
What would define time for me though? I keep thinking about assigned value, inheritance and how time plays a huge part in re-defining the value of something.
I think that this is happening to me in real time. I feel like I'm selling out my presence as a person not even an artist or a teacher for workshops and I don't know if that is better or worse than selling your time? At least the time sold doesn't require me to always answer a question, face somebody, be presentable, be accurate.

I realised the time parsed from recentchanges is in ISO, and looked up what that is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601
From the og ISO website:
Looking for an unambiguous calendar-and-clock format that is internationally understood? It’s time for ISO 8601.
From this working draft[1]:
This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition (ISO 8601:2004), which has been technically revised with the following changes:
- [...]
- — Elimination of the term "midnight" and changes to the use of the value '24' for hour. This is in response to requests from the Information Technology user communities to (1) remove ambiguities caused by the term "midnight", which has been replaced by "Beginning of day" and "End of day"; and (2) align the representation of the beginning/end of day with current de facto industry practice;
They discarded MIDNIGHT from standards in 2004...

omg moon bouncing IS used for earth rotation observation!!!! :
LLR measures the round-trip travel times of light pulses between stations on the earth and four retroreflectors on the surface of the Moon.[2]
But aren’t time and space smashed whenever a new paradigm for a museum is created? This indeed happened in France’s July Revolution of 1830, of which Walter Benjamin tells a story.46 Revolutionaries were shooting at clocks. They had previously also overturned the calendar, renaming months and changing their duration.[3]

Maintenance
As a practice of care maintenance is a method of care keeping through time. I see it as a practice of translation of time into something less vague, something proven to be touched. Example; "Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Washing/Tracks/Maintenance: Outside (July 23, 1973)"
Here is the manifesto for it written also by Mierle Laderman Ukeles:https://queensmuseum.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Ukeles-Manifesto-for-Maintenance-Art-1969.pdf
I think theres a tender correlation between humans creating alternate value systems through time and earth creating minerals that get more complex and valuable over time as well. In that was maybe mining can be compared to getting something priceless handed down from all other life forms on earth to people.
Mining in the Netherlands
a three second wiki research tells me that all the mines in the Netherlands were located near Limburg and they operated briefly. Some closed down before World War i even. I think it is interesting that the shape and design of cooling towers: )””( were first established and found here and it was widely accepted afterwards, The logo of Dutch state mines(DSM). I think that a lot of the doom bringing designs and apocalyptic tools were invented right here(ie the stock market). I also found out that in one of the mines the extracted coal was called coke which is a coal based fuel in this particular profession. All the mines were coal mines but this was the only coke mine.
I also found out that there are some ‘mining’ companies that do Water Mining in Rotterdam. They use salt from underwater salt mines and make epoxy. I think DSM also merged with a Swiss company and now they are producers of various types of plastics that are used very widely.

I watched a man dig into an abandoned copper mine last night and it was really interesting. I had a dream about a huge sinkhole last night because of it I think, because when he was getting inside of the mine I found myself thinking what would happen if he started mining the entrance and it would just grow bigger and collapse. In my dream the sinkhole was shaped like a cone going down for meters and meters. As soon as I saw it I started running away from it and the more I ran away the faster it started to crumble at the edges.
NTX Tarot
Okay here are my thoughts and reflections about the future telling.
What do I wanna do> performative fortune telling using a poem-gen like code and print out business cards of the future with a task of maintenance, title and an ASCII portrait.
Why do I wanna do that> I want to have an interactive but intimate performance where I act as the interface of the person sitting across me and their future in care. I want to assign a possibility to an assumed future. Some even call it speculative.
How> I want to use quotes as 'fortunes' and maintenance task will be assigned via my observations(filling out a form I am designing). I want the form to have a bureaucratic approach to being. This will act as a definitive structure that determines instead of one that listens and cares. I want to create a contrast between this cold form filling with a future that is full of caring and approaching items/objects/livingbeings with time and love. This is my reiteration of a visa process compressed into a fortune reading. I want to explore the role of being the one who decides and declares and attains and allows. What if I had the stamp of approval in my hands?
In Jane Eyre, Mr. Rochester creates a fake palm reader persona to learn what his friends and friends(Jane) think of him. He uses this vulnerable and curious state to analyse and poke people into giving him out delicate information or one that he tries to create.

Steps>
I think I need to figure out how to speak Python or a terminal game even?... Haha???? idk I feel like it would be soooooo easy with js but...
Here is the structure I am going to follow:
Randomized -> Throw items onto the cards.
Interview & Analysis
During the initial intake, I perform a small interview. The interview consists of these questions:
- Name, DoB, PoB
- How are you doing? This is to measure something almost impossible to translate but my goal is to see if anyone says anything other than ok, good, fine, great, etc.
- What are your plans for this summer? This is to see commitments and plan-making of the person. Do they want to see their family? Are they planning a big trip? Are they traveling alone somewhere? Do they oppose or abhor the idea of a summer holiday? Do they feel obligated to see family?
- How many keys do you have on your keychain? I want to see how others see this person; responsible, many commitments to others, many extra keys of friends, only one, car keys, bike keys?
- Close your eyes and imagine your future. How old are you? I want to see how far ahead this person tends to dream. Do they allow themselves to dream far into the future? Why? This is an exercise my therapist makes me do as well and it is pretty chill I always think.
Reading Ritual
What items should I use for the reading? I am still not sure. I think the best idea so far was the business cards and bone throwing by Fred. My friend Hakan also thinks this is a good one. I am leaning towards here. I want to rip apart some computational parts

Update 18.06
Somehow this is what I have achieved so far.
- Wrote an adventure game like fortune generator on python
- Wrote a bash script that takes the outcome of the intake form for the fortune and saves it as a txt file with the date and hour as the title.
- bought an NFC card reader and nfc chip stickers. Pretty easy to make them work.
Next steps:
- What do I do with this card idea? I can make it do a million things but theoretically nothing makes sense to me at the moment.
- - do I print telefoonkaarts of the future?
- - do I print business cards of the future?
- - do I remake the designs on the cards and reprint them??/ I don't know why im doing this anymore.
- WRITE THE FORTUNES!!!! I need to finish this whole thing up. My initial idea is to
- - create categories of maintenance/care.
- - create machines of the future and occupations for these categories.
- - everyone falls under some category but their job will be randomized.
- - Im scared of the length of the final thing... "What does it mean to save time, or trouble, or face, or breath, or shoe leather? Or words?"
Apollos Mouthpiece is going to be a fortune generator for tomorrows caretakers. I want to create a future full of maintenance. I believe that machines are maintained into and out of service and this is what is so important to me when it comes to Time as a subject. I think I am interested in the obvious signs and signatures of love, time, attention in a way? This sounds cheesy. But I am! I think that, even without these things, doing something every day is natures way of keeping time. Maybe this is also me trying to slow down the process of becoming obsolete. I feel like the most admirable stories of us are the ones where we hear someone dedicating their life to something really important to them. "To be exchanged, commodities must be somehow comparable." The most precious thing in your hands is time, and you dedicate it to write a bash script that renames a file. That must mean something to you and I admire that. To look at something that has been maintained and stood strong against the falling years. To steal a glance of someones vision and relive what they have lived. It is an ancient bowl of fresh figs dried in a small tray in an ancient cave.

Material, immaterial, economic kinship through authorship and exchange of time
Upon my previous research, I have found out that reflectors placed on the Moon are also used to make adjustments to time constants[4] . Apparently one of these operation observatories is also called APOLLO (Apache Point Observatory Lunar Laser-ranging Operation). I found out only after looking at Predictions on the Int. Lunar Laser Ranging website because I wanted to see how the predictions can look like. [5]
using time as a value creator ?
Im trying to create "jobs" that rely on people maintaining or caring for objects, nature, surroundings that will create value through care.
